The elusive rocker

We're nearly 33 weeks and for the past few weeks I have been obsessing with this particular rocker from Fisher Price, which I saw in multiply. Apparently, as in most times, I thought the rocker won't be purchased anytime soon since it's being sold online - I was wrong, a week after, I inquired about it and unfortunately, the last stock (in the Philippines, it seems) has been bought. Bummer. Must buy something immediately if I really like it na. I've tried asking online sellers if I could pre-order from the US through them, to no avail. I say I obsessed about this rocker because I even signed up in this US to Philippines forwarding company because I was so close to purchasing through ebay and paying double to cover the shipping as well, but the fear of not getting the shipment along the way made me think twice. So for now, I'm saying goodbye to the rocker I was so determined to have for our baby and I have decided to entertain the thoughts of picturing my alternatives (available locally) in our baby nursery.

Here are the photos of my alternatives. What do you think? Am I just being very picky or what? Haha. I'm kinda leaning towards just getting any of these pretty alternatives from Bright Starts sans the hassle and the international shipping woes.

I never thought I'd be this particular about choosing the right baby rocker. I guess I am. =p

Take me to 'The Whimsy' @ Cafe 1771

My mind's floating... where? To somewhere whimsical. Well, I saw this quaint and very pretty deli during a recent wedding i attended and I instantly loved it - the place was true to it's name, 'The Whimsy' @ Cafe 1771 (El Pueblo, Ortigas). Must eat there sometime, I'm sure the food will be as lovely as the ambiance. I'm thinking it would be a wonderful venue for our baby girl's christening reception or something. =) Giddy. =)

The fruits of my nesting

So as promised, I'll be posting pictures of the fruits of my nesting. I just have 1 more left in my list, which I'll probably do soon - I haven't put up photos along the stairs because I haven't found the right frames, but I know I will. :) So for now, here's our newly refurbished home, ready to welcome more guests and of course, our newest addition.

Loving our new blue green bench MTO from Mandaue Foam with the Bungalow 300 throws from Dimensione. =)

It wasn't part of my list, but we also put up a new drop 'chandelier' for our living area, courtesy of my father dear. =p

In keeping with our burst of color theme to contrast with our mostly black and silver kitchen, I got these colorful Holly stools from Dimensione for our small breakfast nook.

Don't you just love colors? Now I can teach baby about colors, not only through books, but also through our furniture. =) P.S. I'd like to thank my fairy parents for making my mini home makeover a success. Hearts. <3

Everyday is a Gift

It's true. :)

Every single day is a gift. :) And everyday, I am grateful. :)

This is me and our baby girl in utero @ 32 weeks

Just a tip for a happy and content life: Every morning, when you wake up, think of things that you are thankful for. It's sure to give you a great head start for the day ahead. :)

Have a great weekend, all!

Ice Ice Baby

One of the many perks of having a baby girl (soon).

I'm crossing my fingers that she'll like ice skating as much as I do (without any prodding).

It would be lovely.

Mommy and Daddy would gladly take you to the rink baby girl. =)

Ode to my heels

I'm officially missing my heels.

I've always been a heels girl, but it's been close to 8 months since I've worn them to work to minimize the risk of falling and jeopardizing my infanticipation. But can I just say, I miss being in heels and how they make me feel. But I guess it's just a little sacrifice for a big payoff in the long run. For now, until a few weeks or so, I'll have to keep on resisting the urge to slip them on. But let it be known that as soon as our baby arrives and I go back to work (after my leave), I'll be rocking my heels again.

Cannot wait.

I wonder, why not pink?!

We're almost on our 32nd week and with just 5 to 8 weeks to go, we've started fixing up our baby girl's room. Our first order of business for the nursery was to repaint the walls. I've always been a pink girl, but for some reason I decided not to go with pink for our baby girl's room (to the surprise of many). I didn't even get much pink baby clothes. And now I wonder why... I guess I like pink for myself, but for a baby girl, i think pink has been such a cliche especially now that a whole world of pantones are readily available. So here it is, the debut of our baby's girl's nursery in Aquamarine and Seal Gray. Can't wait to bring in the furniture and decorations. =)
