Extraordinardy indeed!

Just want to share this performance from the Legion of Extraordinary Dancers, it's one of my favorites - maybe because they used Yellow for their music. Enjoy and be amazed. =)

What I learned after a year of marriage and a month of parenthood

I won't make this long and profound - I just have to say my peace in a brief sentence or two. Rich and I recently celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary and our baby girl also turned a month old the same week. So what did I learn from a year of marriage and a month of parenthood - simple...

Life really gets better and sweeter if you have so much love and you have something/someone to live for...

These two (my husband and baby girl) give my life more meaning everyday. =)

Dear Bag gods, hear my prayer(s)

I've always though motherhood would change me - in terms of my wants, but I don't think the change (if any) has taken effect yet, my insatiable need for new bags is still as strong as ever. Such is its strength that I felt the need to blog about it - which meant I had to bring my laptop in bed so I could blog beside our baby girl's rocker where she's fast asleep at the moment (thus allowing me to sneak a quick post). Anyway, I just really wanted to share how much I've always wanted a black PRADA tote bag like this, but it's too pricey for me, but maybe in the near future, if disposable income pours in.

But for now, while the PRADA project is still on the works, these two babies are on my PASAP list (Purchase as soon as possible/pwede/payagan). Took the photos from a local online bag seller Bags R Us (http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100000919569782). Hopefully I get to buy the bags soon, maybe in time for November, when I start work after my maternity leave.

Bag gods, I've been very good this year, please make my wishes come true. I promise to put my future pretty bags to good use. =p

27 Blessings

I celebrated my 27th birthday 2 days ago, albeit in a non-extravagant way, it was still a very special birthday. To start off my 27th year, I just wanted to list 27 blessings from the Lord(though I've been blessed with so much more) I'll always be grateful for:

1. The gift of life
2. The gift of love
3. My very supportive parents and family
4. Richmond, the love of my life and my wonderful husband
5. Zia, our baby girl and the new love of our life
6. Our beautiful home
7. Amazing friends from GS, HS, College, Work
8. A job I am proud of
9. Good health
10. My positive disposition
11. Being able to nurture our daughter through breastfeeding
12. Being able to buy the things I want
13. Good food
14. Laughter
15. Disposable income for shopping (Hehe)
16. Everyday learnings
17. Parenthood
18. Quiet moments with our daughter
19. Hugs and kisses from my husband
20. Charmed life
21. Challenges that teach me to be a better person
22. Precious sleep (I'm thankful for even just an hour of sleep)
23. Dreams and knowing that I have the power to make them come true
24. Smiles from the people I love
25. Great faith
26. Every waking day
27. A new year (which will definitely be sweeter than my 26th year)

This list is just the tip of the iceberg. With God on my side, the blessings are really countless and I am forever blessed.

Why don't you make a list of your own, you;d be surprised how much blessings there are around to be grateful for.

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone! =)

Ushering in the BER-months

I'm sneaking a short post while my little one is fast asleep to honor the start of my favorite months - the BER months. I've always loved September 1st as morning shows, radio stations and people like me start playing Christmas songs. But aside from playing Christmas songs and starting my Christmas countdown, I've also acquired this personal tradition of watching my favorite Christmas flicks to really get into the groove of the season. Below are my start-of-the-Christmas season movies - they never fail to make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Happy Christmas everyone! Allow me to indulge in my Christmas-y disposition as my Christmas this year will be extra wonderful - because of our baby girl - our early Christmas gift. =)
