[Shopaholic Zei] My call to action

You know you're a shopaholic when these four letters make your heart skip a beat - SALE. That's what happened to me when our little family trooped to Shangri-La after Zia's 5th month visit to the pedia. Zara was on sale so I took advantage of it. Carpe Diem I said to myself as I swiped my credit card for the stuff I got for Zia.

For some, the word SALE is a warning sign that brings precaution, but for me, it's a call to action. It's a sale and I wanna take part in it. And took part I did, and I emerged victorious with these cute steals for Zia. :)

[Zei the MOM] Zia's 6th month shopping list

We're almost in the 6th month mark, which means a lot of new milestones for Zia. And of course, these milestones have new stuff that go hand-in-hand with it. So here's my happy list of stuff to buy for Zia.

Now that Zia is liking bathtime more and more and she's getting big for her current bathtub I plan to buy her a Flexibath and a set of Boon Odd Ducks for more fun and enjoyment.

I like the Flexibath because of it's pretty colors and it's foldable feature. I can store it properly when it's not in use since it doesn't take up much space and I can still use it long after Zia won't fit in it anymore - maybe as a toy bin or a shoe bin for the little one. Plus, it's made of BPA, PVC and Phthalate free plastic that's safe for babies. Photo taken from http://www.flexibath.co.nz/

This set of Boon Odd Ducks is a refreshing/modern take on the good ol' rubber ducky. Beyond it's cute colors, it's made from BPA, PVC and Phthalate free plastic. This will surely make bathtime lots of fun for Zia and for me (knowing that she's safe from harmful plastic materials). Photo credit goes to http://www.jilliansdrawers.com/ Aren't they so cute? But of course, very functional.

Another 6th month milestone that I'm excited about is solid feeding, so I'm eyeing these stuff to help me make Zia's solid food experience a blast.

Cute and colorful munchkin soft tip spoons(www.amazon.co.uk)

No need for bowls and plates since we have lots given by Ninongs, Ninangs and Titos and Titas. =) Hope Zia enjoys solid feeding. =)

The shopaholic mom strikes again (as always!)

My mini me with all the pretty stuff mommy bought from Baby Gap and Peppermint!

As you may well know, I'm a shopaholic since birth. Well, that's an exaggeration, but you get my drift. And when I was pregnant, my shopaholic self doubled - I shopped for myself and for the coming baby. And now, with Zia with us already who is becoming more and more of a delight at 5 months, the shopping seems to be more exciting. Simply put, I just can't stop myself from buying - so many cute stuff!!! So last Sunday, Rich & I set out for Megamall and mommy went crazy clothes shopping for the baby girl. If I had more money in my wallet, I probably wouldn't have stopped. It was a happy shopping day for our family - aside from Zia's clothes, I got some stuff for me too and Rich bought himself headphones too!

Don't you just love shopping? =) I think I'm loving shopping even more now that I'm a mom!

The tale of the centimeter

We had our 37th week OB visit yesterday, and much to the satisfaction of our OB, I was already at 1cm. Brief background - our OB wants me to give birth earlier than 40 weeks so i could still deliver normally because I'm small. It was the first time I went alone to the OBs office since Rich had his blood typing in another part of the hospital, so I had time to ponder about. I actually didn't know how to feel about it, but I knew that it was a step closer to having our baby girl with us.

It was funny how we went into a state of frantic buying and double checking when I told Rich about our 1cm situation. So after TMC, we went straight to Galleria - we bought additional house clothes for baby, because she still lacked enough of those; a rocker and sleeper which baby can sleep in at night beside us in our room (the crib will wait for a few months more) and an amazing gadget that will keep baby cool in her room sans the detrimental addition to our Meralco bill because of the aircon (Will write a separate post for this).

It wasn't actually cramming per se, I guess it just got more real when we found out about that simple centimeter. Hehe.

Feeling the homestretch. Please pray for our little family. :)
